Environmental Allergies
Environmental Allergies can really get you down. The options seem to be drugs or shots, both of which have side effects and long term commitments
What if you could make lifestyle changes yourself that would make your allergies better? Come learn about what allergies are and what your alternative options are for reducing symptoms while keeping the immune system healthy.
Immune System
The immune system works by attacking particles that it perceives as dangerous to the body overall. This is good and useful for fighting off bacteria, viruses, parasites, etc. But when the body fights particles that are not truly dangerous, it forces the immune system to work overtime producing histamines, cytokines, chemokines and other chemicals. Not only do these chemicals have side effects such as runny nose, itchy eyes, stomach aches, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; they also change the internal state of the body.
Since the particles the body is allergic to are not harmful, this extra work for the immune system is actually just stress on the body.
Trying to teach the body that the particles are not dangerous is a good option, but it doesn’t always produce the desired effects. And many times, the treatment has to be repeated many times over many years just to get results for a few years.
Complementary Medicine
There are other options to help reduce the symptoms of allergies, and they can be used simultaneously with drugs and injections without interfering, they are complementary to conventional medicine.
