Purification and Weight Loss the natural way

Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. the office is open to members for discussions, Q&A on different topics.

Dr. J. is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic and certified in Functional Medicine. She wants to help all people improve wellness through education and providing the newest, best researched information available.

Purification is a class we do every year for those wishing to lose weight the healthy and natural way. You put weight on slowly, you should take it off slowly as well so the body doesn’t become unbalanced. The recommended rate is 2 pounds per month, but if you want to push the envelope and keep the body healthy, we can help. Our “system” helps patients lose weight at approximately 4-6 pounds per month but keeps you under Doctor’s care for safety reasons. The system entails a personalized program that is based on your needs, current health,  current exercise program, and current medications. There is no standard, but the average cost is $325 start up and $150 monthly. This does not include lab work if it is required by the Doctor.

3 Herbs for Boosting Male Libido

Don't Let Food Labels Give You IndigestionFrom the ancient Greeks concocting “nectar of the Gods” to modern pharmaceuticals, man has had an unrelenting desire to discover new aphrodisiacs to stimulate and enhance sexual performance. In Western herbal medicine, tonics were often employed to treat symptoms of poor reproductive function. Historically, these tonics were regarded with skepticism … then came Viagra.

With the widespread acceptance of the idea that male sexual performance could be pharmacologically enhanced, “herbal enhancers” for male sexual performance made their way to the market. Most so-called herbal alternatives to Viagra likely deliver only modest effects, at best. However, several herbs used in traditional Indian and Chinese Medicine, which are believed to provide support to the male reproductive system, have gained the attention of both holistic and conventional medical researchers. We introduce a few of these herbs below.

Keep in mind that herbs work synergistically with the body. Healthy dietary and lifestyle practices need to be in place or the body will not be able to make optimal use of herbal remedies. Herbs may take several weeks before beneficial effects will be noticed. Some herbs should not be taken with other medicines–consult with your personal wellness practitioner before trying any herbal tonic.

Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) is widely used in Europe and, in the U.S., it is the most popular adjunct herbal treatment for symptoms of enlarged prostate. It has been recommended as an alternative treatment by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Saw palmetto is nourishing to the endocrine (hormone regulating) system, which includes the sex hormones and may be the mechanism by which it helps improve overall reproductive function in men.

Tribulus (Tribulus terrestris) is rich in steroidal saponins, including protodoscin and protogracillin and small quantities of spirostanol glycodes, sterols and other compounds. These compounds support normal reproductive function in men and women, support normal hormone production, promote vitality and stamina and support physical endurance. It is used in Ayurvedic medicine to boost sexual performance without affecting testosterone.

Nettle root (Urtica dioica) also known as stinging nettle has been used for centuries for inflammation. In traditional medicine, Nettle is used to support healthy urinary tract and prostate gland function, as well as allergies, hayfever, bursitis, arthritis, hemorrhoids, endometriosis and many other inflammatory conditions.
